(Carmen, you probably want this one.)
"State your name and whatever business you may have with me; I'll return your call once circumstances allow."
[Please state in the subject line if OOC planning is preferred and we can handwave like the wind, but otherwise IC will be assumed!]
[VIDEO] - 1 / SOME UNGODLY AMOUNT
[The video opens up to a view inside the Team Rocket Base. Archer looks tense, but otherwise normal.]
Kimblee. It's rather unfortunate you've missed my call.
[From the tone of voice it's rather clear that he doesn't believe that at all. You're avoiding him, aren't you?]
I would prefer to speak to you directly, but for now this will do. I'd like to apologize for my behavior. That was uncalled for and completely out of line.
[He doesn't sound very apologetic, but at least he's calmed down somewhat!]
I'll see you later, then.
[And end feed!]
[Archer looks a bit more agitated this morning, but there's still nothing very obviously out of place here.]
I had hoped to catch you this morning. I do hope you'll return my call.
[There's a moment of silence before Archer hesitantly starts another apology attempt.]
...I really do regret my actions, Kimblee.
[He at least looks like that was genuine! His tone of voice however...]
I'd like to hear from you soon.
[Click!]
[VOICE]
[This time we don't have a video! Archer's voice does sound more strained than before, though.]
Kimblee, will you please return my calls?
[He'll hang up without a half-assed apology this time.]
[TEXT]
[And shortly after, there's a text!]
Will you answer your damn phone?
[Today Archer's looking completely composed again! He has his Glaceon out - she's sprawled across his lap. If you look carefully, you should be able to recognize your room in the base, Kimblee! Why would he bother going back to his anyway; he never uses it!]
Would it kill you to respond to your messages, Kimblee?
[Sigh. What is he going to do with you once you come back? Because you will come back.]
How am I supposed to properly apologize to you if you won't speak to me, Kimblee? What I did was immature, but that doesn't mean you need to give me the silent treatment in response.
[Lineface. Can we try to be mature for once, Kimblee?]
I'll keep calling until I get a response.
[And that ends the feed!]
[VOICE]
[Clearly Archer has switched tactics. Time to call you at all hours of the day in the hopes of catching you off-guard and answering the phone!]
[...No he is not desperate, you shut up.]
You're really trying my patience, Kimblee.

Hey, Kimblee? Are you still here?
[...Welp. Have some herp, Kimblee.]
Well, I guess you must be, since I'm actually reaching your voicemail. Look, could you get in contact with me when you get a chance? I just want to make sure you're alright. I mean there was that attack in Goldenrod and all...
[.................]
...So uh, thanks. Bye.
[Awkwardawkwardawkward...]
[AUDIO]
Isaac, pick up the phone.
[.......]
...'Gear.
[judging from the sheer amount of "fuck everything, I'm drowsy" in his voice, he is of the esteemed opinion that IT'S EARLY AND YOU CALLED HIM AT STUPID O'CLOCK BEFORE AND HE WAS NOT FUNCTIONING ENOUGH TO ANSWER AND oh god what time is it, hang on
There's some brief odd noises, fabric rustling and the like, that imply Kimblee's locating the clock in the hotel, a soft scraping noise when he finds the damn thing and picks it up, followed by a sigh and a light thud caused by him just...giving up and dropping the damn clock onto the bed.
Nnnnnnnnnnngh. Good morn...afternoon, world.
He's silent for a moment longer, raking his hand backward through his hair quietly before seeming to realize that the 'Gear is still recording.]
Well, I suppose this answers the question of whether I'm still in one piece or not. Are you there?
[He's kind of considering going back to bed if you're not. He doesn't usually sleep all day, but he has literally nothing to do and these mutations have not been nice to him, in the end; he hardly feels like he's slept at all, so bed is sounding so good right now...]

[Good evening, Kimblee! Despite the fact that Archer looks like he hasn't slept in days it is a good evening! He's finally had this entire argument explained to him! Now they can solve their differences and go back to the way things were!]
I hope this message finds you well, Kimblee. I suppose you're still angry with me - I can certainly understand why. First of all I would like to apologize for sitting on this for so long. I didn't understand why you were so upset with me. Yes, I know that you have issues being locked up, but I didn't understand why that was taking precedence over the fact that I was doing it because I thought it was for your own good.
I spoke with Zulf earlier today and he explained it to me. I didn't give him any details about what happened or led to the argument, of course, but we discussed this. He pointed out that you were probably more focused on the fact that I was doing something I promised I would never do; I was hurting you in the moment and that was more important than the big picture. Is that right? As I said before, I believed it was for the best to keep you away so you wouldn't be captured or killed. I was looking at the big picture, not at what my actions were doing to you in the moment. Do you understand? I didn't see it from your perspective, and I doubt you saw it from mine. It was a mistake on both our parts.
I do apologize for locking you up. As I said, I believed it to be the best course of action in the moment. I know I went against my promise to never do that to you, and if you can't trust me with that again, I understand. I didn't mean to hurt you, however, and I do believe I was right to try to keep you safe. I could have handled it much better than I did.
[Archer pauses then. He's gotten through everything he wanted to say.]
Thank you for hearing me out. I do hope we can reconcile. It's... been a bit difficult without you around. I really do miss you, Kimblee.
[Admitting that is just awkward, dear god...]
So again, I'm sorry about what happened and about the misunderstanding. It was never my intention to hurt you. I hope to hear from you soon.
[TEXT]
While I assume I'm supposed to appreciate the attempt you're making, and I suppose it's good that you've had such an epiphany (if it can be called that), I would like to remind you that I am no longer your concern. You have no reason to seek out advice regarding our situation, nor do I recall ever asking you for any sort of apology or reconciliation attempt.
Furthermore, I'm not sure why this needed to be explained to you by a third party to begin with. You made it plain that you wouldn't lock me up like that because you knew that I would take up issue with it; how, exactly, did you not understand that doing so would result in me taking up issue with it?
I would ask you what you want from me at this point, but it's rather plain from past incidents that your answer will be "for everything to be as it was before" - in other words, to act as though none of this ever happened, and for both of us to become neurotic in an attempt to not anger each other. That isn't anything I'm interested in at this point. Stop assuming that I am.
I wasn't rational that night in Goldenrod; I owe you an apology for that much. Consider it offered. But that's all I'm offering at the moment.
Your time is appreciated.

Though I'm often the reason
We can't have nice things,
I know not these creatures,
Nor what's pulling their strings.
They're disrupting my time off

I did try to confront one -

And yet, though the battle
Was...anticlimactic,

We oft disagree,

I know it's a little rude to give away gifts, but I feel like this particular Pokémon would be better in the hands of someone who knows how to use it. You may also have a better chance of knowing if the original trainer returns.
Take good care of it.
[And there is a Pokéball of a Gengar with the message. Enjoy.]

Hello. It's me. I I'm afraid I'm going to have to cancel our...dinner plansssss. With the recent...construction in Cherrygrove...
[He trails off here because he's checking to see if they've noticed his awkward pauses. Nope. So far so good.]
With the recent construction, I've been delayed indefinitely. We'll have to ressschedule.

...The trick is figuring out how to respond; he doesn't want to be overheard, but if this is what he thinks it is, then the chances are good that any texts he sends are going to be read...
...hm.
He waits for a few minutes, then fires a text Cobra's way. It's not coming from his device, but rather one of the spares he had the guys from the science division make for him - it's from someone named Rebecca Breda.]
i just got your call, sweetie - don't worry, we can take a rain check! you'll owe me one, though ;)
it'll be ok though, i can just bring ayanami out with me, so i won't be too lonely! maybe we'll make an outing of it, i think i can find someone else who'll want to come with :D
sorry about the construction, though :( maybe they'll finish ahead of schedule??

Once she's finally happy with her new uniform (it admittedly takes a few more minutes...), she positions her Gear on her desk and stands in front of it, flicking it on with a gloved hand and folding her arms behind her back in the stance she's seen other Privates use.
With any luck, the odd nervous feeling in her stomach will dissipate by the time the conversation starts.]
Are you there, Mr Kimblee? I'd like to talk to you, if this isn't inconvenient.

He does notice the uniform, but that doesn't mean he won't let her say her own piece before he comments; a bit rude to do otherwise, isn't it.]
