IF YOU FIND ALEKHINE PLEASE KILL HIM FOR ME.

Understood, and gladly done.
Dare I ask what he's done to deserve death this time...?

We got in an argument this morning and apparently he's decided that today's a great day to run off with my uniform. If he's wearing it, you have my permission to beat him into unconsciousness before killing him.

You know, I have no idea how these things keep happening to you.

[The deaths of seven thousand men = a Pokémon stealing his uniform??]

[...Sounds legit tbh.]

...Though I suppose the point of it could be to take people like us and place us in environments where we can't cause as much damage.
[If you ignore the numerous attacks on Ecruteak, of course!!]

That is, property damage seems to be more or less the same regardless of where we are, but with regards to loss of life...surely we can't permanently destroy as many, which I suppose qualifies as less damage until you consider that it just means we can kill the same people multiple times.

[He pauses for a moment before continuing; normally he'd just leave that be, because he doesn't see any point in elaborating any or saying anything further, but that's not...something you just leave alone, conversationally, is it...]
I know I tend to be a bit more cavalier about death and dying here, but for what it's worth, the concept that it isn't permanent here is a bit strange to me as well.

I appreciate the effort, but this isn't something I'm bothered by. It's a little odd, but I can handle it.
[Hopefully he won't ever have to try to handle it because he probably wouldn't take it well!!]

That said, you've never seen me in battle, not properly, and so you've never seen me around those that have died; I make a point of remembering everyone I kill.

[...why though??]

As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't matter why they died - whether it was through no fault of their own, or every fault of their own - and it doesn't matter how much or how little the deceased meant to me personally. I never even spoke to most of them. But the fact of the matter is that it's still a life lost, and more to the point it's a life that ended because of me. Why shouldn't I do them the basic respect of acknowledging them and ensuring I remember them? Whether I cared about them or not, they were still people at one point.
If anything, I'd think I don't deserve to not look.
