Bluntly put, I didn't think you were, at least not to an extent that it preoccupies you. In my own case, it's just something I think about from time to time because it conflicts in interesting ways with something I tend to do, that's all.

That said, you've never seen me in battle, not properly, and so you've never seen me around those that have died; I make a point of remembering everyone I kill.

"Caring" isn't quite the right word for it.

As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't matter why they died - whether it was through no fault of their own, or every fault of their own - and it doesn't matter how much or how little the deceased meant to me personally. I never even spoke to most of them. But the fact of the matter is that it's still a life lost, and more to the point it's a life that ended because of me. Why shouldn't I do them the basic respect of acknowledging them and ensuring I remember them? Whether I cared about them or not, they were still people at one point.

If anything, I'd think I don't deserve to not look.

Don't misunderstand me; I don't regret killing any of them. That doesn't mean I can't acknowledge them just the same.

Death isn't something I've ever liked to dwell on; not mine or anyone else's. Thinking about the departed isn't something I see a purpose in, I suppose.
