Somehow I'm not surprised to hear that.

But yes - I've spoken to at least two people who seem to have interacted with this other version of myself. Really, there's possibly a third version out there, if a certain thing I've overheard implies what I think it does.

Texting while flying is a terrible habit.

Are they very different from you?

One was my best friend's partner, back where he came from; I'm told that we're about as different from one another as two people can be in terms of general temperament and behavior. But once in a while something will happen, and he'll look at me in a certain way; it took me a while to realize how that usually means that whatever I just said or did is the exact same thing his partner would have said or done.

The other one is almost completely identical; my significant other told me about him.

Is that why he took an interest in you? Your best friend, I mean.

And what certain thing/implication?

It is. The first time he saw me, it was from a distance; I was trying to see if it was just my own transmutation circles that weren't working or if all alchemy was rendered nonfunctional by this place, and I was carving circles into one of the ledges near Mahogany Town and attempting to activate them. He assumed I was his friend and addressed me as such, though he quickly found out that wasn't the case. We have very similar names, which led to quite a bit of confusion at first.

And my significant other...he's from Amestris as well, obviously, as we met during the war. We remember the same events happening, and all of the important discussions we had with one another back then are more or less the same.

However, he remembers me with blue eyes, and some of the details of those discussions are different.

I probably could have.
