036. [Text/Action for Goldenrod City]
As grateful as I am that it's no longer raining animals down from on high, it's debatable whether this is much better.
[And there's a shot of the interior of a florist shop – one that's normally well-kept, from the look of it, though the "normally" is a bit marred today; it's not quite bull-in-a-china-shop level of disarray, but it's obvious someone's been going through the flowers with reckless abandon today.
Or, well, something, given that the next shot is showing the area behind the counter; that...well, that certainly is a pair of very young-looking and clearly sleepy goats back there, all folded in on themselves and solidly out cold.]
Don't misunderstand me, they're adorable, but they're making it somewhat difficult for me to work.
As for the more important matters, for those who care: I'm in Goldenrod City for the time being – are these things everywhere, or just here? And it's worth noting that, like with the cats and dogs from earlier, they're not anything I recognize, either.
[And Kimblee can be found in that florist shop for the better part of the day today, actually, if anyone wants to speak to him in person; this is apparently just something he's going to do with himself when he's not terrorizing the network. It's mundane work to be sure, but it's surprisingly calming; granted, if you ask him to arrange anything for you, it's likely going to be very passive-aggressive if he doesn't feel you're being creative enough in your requests, so tread lightly lest you hand your beloved something that translates to "SORRY ABOUT YOUR TASTE."]

[ACTION]
Hey. You still having trouble with those goats?

[He sounds amused, though; just let him go back to rearranging the...everything. He's going to be rearranging fucking everything, but at least it's something to do wioth his hands and it's better than just standing around waiting for someone to entertain him.]
They're asleep for now, however; hopefully they'll stay that way for a while.

Are they yours or did they just wander in here? Well, I guess if they were yours you would have put them back in their Pokéballs by now. Do you need any help?

Do they do anything other than sleep and destroy shops?
[text forever]
You'd know them if they were around, however - they're a bit of a plague today, at least as far as Goldenrod goes.
[...that was totally supposed to say text too]
The little moving spots down there don't seem to be moving in swarms or running in terror, so I'm assuming Ecruteak is goat-free for now. Maybe they'll migrate north soon?
...if it makes you feel any better I do text so often that I do action dialogue in courier nowadays
Typing all those HTML tags for nothing. How sad.
I know, right.

I'm very glad they didn't fall from the sky, though.
[The cats were bad, the dogs were also bad, but goats? Somewhere a line must be drawn, or else someone really is going to be able to say they suffered a concussion via goats falling from the sky with the utmost seriousness, and that's kind of sad.]
[text]
It would be a bit catastrophic if they did, wouldn't it? At least the cats are small and the dogs are...well, at least they're covered in enough soft bits to make the landing a bit less unpleasant.
Have you been catching things, then?
[text]
I have. A lot of them seem to have just...wandered into the backyard, though, so I have quite a few with me...I'm not sure what I'm going to do with all of them, to tell you the truth.
[But they are adorable, so that makes up for it.]

...it's not a topic she likes to dwell on, so today, to distract herself, she's decided to purchase some flowers for her room. Maybe some sweet smelling ones, with a strong perfume, or maybe some delicate lilies...
There's not much point contemplating other sorts, however. She knows what she's going to pick.]
Ah, excuse me...
[...admittedly, the...state of the shop will momentarily take her by surprise, as she enters, but her poker face is excellent and she's able to keep her distaste hidden. Following her into the shop are an extremely well-groomed Ninetales, with black ribbons on her neck and tails, and finally one of those...falling cat things, with a bandage on her head and a fascinated look on her face.
...no really, you'd think she'd never seen flowers before, judging by the way she gaping at everything. Wow. Ignoring her Pokémon for the moment, Celes focuses on the store attendant.
...who looks...really damn familiar. Hmmm. Well, she'll be polite, as always.]
Do you sell roses?
[action]
...A bit of a shame she's going to be predictable with the flowers, but so it goes.]
It would be a bit remiss if we didn't. Are you looking for something in particular?
[action] 1/2
[For a moment, Celes seems to go still, her eyes locked on Kimblee, unblinking. But whatever odd moment it was seems to pass quickly enough, and she returns her attention to the various displays around the shops. Or, at least, the ones in one piece, anyway.]
Red ones. Maybe white...

I'm not sure if this is better or worse than finding a random egg next to the pillow like we did last time new things showed up.
[text]
The hurricane a while back was interesting, however. I wouldn't mind that again, sharks or not.
[text]
Those goats, though? Not sure I want them falling out of the sky at the same rate as the cats or dogs were.
[HOOVES...]
[action]
...well, actually, no, the goats were objectively less crazy than the rain of terrified kittens and smug poodles, but the situation was permitted to be crazier via the fact that she was trying to wrangle some of the more rambunctious goats and this had lead to her hopping onto one and it taking her on a bit of a ride.
Said ride takes them to a florist shop, so a bucking baby goat rushes in and jumps around in an attempt to shake off the rider, who is trying very, very hard to stay calm.]
Woah, kiddo, take this back outside...! You'll break something...!
no subject
...Ah.
[Good lord what the hell should he do about this there is no protocol for this and somehow he doubts just setting the fucking goat on fire would be appreciated]
You might want to get off of it, it doesn't seem terribly appreciative -
[KIMBLEE, REALLY.]
(no subject)
[action]
Dist watches his steps as he weaves around broken flowers scattered on the floor, Rosamund the Roserade not too far behind him. Neither of them seem pleased by the presentation of the shop today. In fact, Dist is feeling pretty vocal about it. Time to give the poor clerk a piece of his mind!]
What in the world is this? This place is a mess, and anything but professional! Why, you all should be ashamed of yourselves...
[...
Wait a second.]
Mr. Kimblee?
[What is even going on here.]
no subject
Oh, believe me, I'm fully aware. The resident plague, however, had other ideas; just the same, I appreciate you bringing it to my attention in case it had somehow escaped my notice. Very courteous of you.
[For what it's worth, his voice is very, very pleasant. Good afternoon, Dist.]
Were you looking for something in particular?
(no subject)
text;
how can you look at those faces and say its difficult to work? you can just use 'em as an excuse to take a break!
[Demyx you are the worst fucking rocket ever. No, really. He's been feeding one of those poor little goats some of the fliers he's supposed to be passing out. Between that and letting his giant gyarados eat them, he can get done faster!]
text;
...
...not like Kimblee's is all that great himself, given that he's texting during work when he should probably be doing something, but that is neither here nor there.]
Well, for the time being I'd prefer to keep my job. But I'll keep that bit of advice in mind.
