Good evening.

[The voice that comes over the 'Gear tonight is calm, at least; soft and open, a bit high-pitched perhaps, but generally not unpleasant to listen to. Confident, in a bit of a self-satisfied way. So it goes.]

My name is Solf J Kimblee; I hold the rank of Beta within this organization. I suppose I owe you all an apology for being away from the organization itself for so long.

I think it's time to remedy that a bit.

As one of the field agents in charge of assisting with the training of the new recruits, I would like to extend an invitation to all of you - particularly the new ones that I have yet to meet, although I would like to see those I'm already acquainted with as well. It isn't an order; again, it's just an invitation to talk. I would like to get to know all of you, and to have a fuller understanding of your talents. Should you require orders or simply want something to do, I may have a proposal for you; we'll see.

I would prefer meeting you in person; I'm in the Goldenrod base for the time being, but if you're currently elsewhere, neither time nor money is a problem for me. Let me know where you are; I'll meet up with you.

I must say that I'm pleased with the work I've seen so far, however. Do keep it up, hm?

Thank you, Commander; I've had the position for a little while now. It just hasn't been anything I've broadcast.

However, I doubt Archer and I will be the only one on this level for very long; I have every intention of speaking to Executive Ariana about remedying the situation as far as you go.

I'm sssure you had your reasons for doing so.

[Cobra Commander doesn't understand why that would be though. Admittedly, he can't see Kimblee making a big speech or throwing a parade, but still, that sort of thing should be celebrated.]

And I appreciate your efforts. Hopefully, they will prove successful.

[Hopefully that didn't come out as awkward as it sounded to Cobra. He's not really used to being in this situation. He's still used to being in charge, not needing others to put in a good word for him.]

Of course he did; he wanted to ensure that I remained vigilant and always had means to protect myself. He seemed very upset, really, although he seems to think that it was 'Seth' doing the threatening - needless to say, I was a bit confused as to why I was suddenly threatening myself without my own knowledge.

That would certainly be...sssssomething.

[But that does give him an idea!]

Perhaps we should let him think that for now. Ssseth has become somewhat infamous as of late. Let him jump at sssshadows. While he's doing so, it reduces the chance of him ssseeing anything else coming!

"Something" indeed - though I don't have any opposition to allowing him to believe that's the case. Isaac's a bit paranoid, really; it's incredibly easy to lead him to conclusions, and once he has one it tends to be a bit difficult to make him let go of it. He'll be blindsided by anything else, believe me - it helps that Seth has been tormenting him quite a bit lately.

I will never cease to be both amazed and entertained by how absolutely horrible you can be!

I admit that while I tend to pride myself on efficiency and the thoroughness of my work, a good amount of what I do is simply because it amuses me. There's no point in not enjoying one's work, after all.

Oh, I agree completely! There certainly is no point in not doing ssssso.

[After all, Cobra definitely enjoys his work. Otherwise, he would've found another line of work years ago.]

Though, if I may ask a question, and feel free to avoid sssspecifics due to the problem we discussed before, but the proposals you mentioned, were those created in order to provide amusement?

In several ways, yes, though details have yet to be worked out in their entirety. This is more seeing who has potential, and who does not - in my opinion, of course.

Ah, but speaking of amusing oneself - regarding that second location of yours...should you plan to stay for a while, I've a residence in the area, and I often find myself rather bored indeed. Let me know when you've arrived; I would be grateful for the company. Perhaps I'll invite Archer as well; it's been a while since the three of us could catch up, wouldn't you agree?

Ah, Isaac is often gone for several hours during the day. He has an incredibly strict and overall very predictable training regimen, and I may come up with a few errands for him to run for me after the fact.
