Good evening.

[The voice that comes over the 'Gear tonight is calm, at least; soft and open, a bit high-pitched perhaps, but generally not unpleasant to listen to. Confident, in a bit of a self-satisfied way. So it goes.]

My name is Solf J Kimblee; I hold the rank of Beta within this organization. I suppose I owe you all an apology for being away from the organization itself for so long.

I think it's time to remedy that a bit.

As one of the field agents in charge of assisting with the training of the new recruits, I would like to extend an invitation to all of you - particularly the new ones that I have yet to meet, although I would like to see those I'm already acquainted with as well. It isn't an order; again, it's just an invitation to talk. I would like to get to know all of you, and to have a fuller understanding of your talents. Should you require orders or simply want something to do, I may have a proposal for you; we'll see.

I would prefer meeting you in person; I'm in the Goldenrod base for the time being, but if you're currently elsewhere, neither time nor money is a problem for me. Let me know where you are; I'll meet up with you.

I must say that I'm pleased with the work I've seen so far, however. Do keep it up, hm?

[Ren won't mind relaxing at all. Being too polite and proper would eventually get on his nerves. So he'll stand a bit more casually.]

A little bit of both. My family stands rather high in our society, so I've learned from that.

Ah, I see - well, there's nothing much to be concerned about today, I believe; I just like getting to know those that I work with a bit, and I've been away from the base for some time.

You said you've been working in the Game Corner, Mr...?

[He trails off a bit then; he's been around enough to recognize the linguistic structure of the name he's been given as something he's unfamiliar with for the most part, but he's been exposed to it enough to know that they don't always state their given name first and he prefers not to take a guess if it's simple enough to ask.]

Jinguji, if you wish to use my last name, but I won't mind being called Ren either. [Since he doesn't like his family all that much, but of course some people tend to use last names only, so he's used to it.] But yes, I've been waiting tables there for some time now.

And you're content with that?

For now, at least. Then again, I'm more of the type who works in the background, rather than in the frontlines.

[At least when it didn't involve singing on stage or acting.]

Well, I certainly can't disagree with that method any. Although now I'm curious - what is it that you would like to accomplish, ultimately?

[What could he possibly want that would sound good in the Team Rocket sense? That has been a tricky question. He's been thinking about the answer to that question just in case someone would ask him that.

Luckily, he's been thinking about it enough so it doesn't take too long for him to answer it.]

I wish to be known to the world. Not by my name, but by my actions. That's why I like working in the shadows, leaving only what I've done behind.

[Idol by day, Rocket by night... or something like that. This is spoken genuinely, as if he'd really want to do something bad without getting his name out there. Though he really means to harm Rockets and not the civilians, but that's top secret and well hidden information for now.]

[Kimblee is quiet for a moment, considering that; the look in his eyes isn't disapproving at all, however.]

That sort of mindset is very similar to my own, back in my own world. I did a lot of work in the shadows myself - I accepted early on that if I died for my life's work, no one would know, and if they knew, that no one would care; even if I survived, no one would ever know the extent of what I had done. However, I would know what I had accomplished, and that was what mattered; more importantly, I would have an impact either way.

Yes, I can definitely understand the mindset that goes into work like that.

[Ren listens to Kimblee's word, somewhat relieved that his were believable. It hadn't really been easy to think of something that would be easy to agree with and that would at least sound good in someone else's mind.]

Yes. I feel that it would be bad to get drunk on fame when you're on this side. It's easier to do things when there's less people who know about you. [Then, he adds.] Though I do admit that I quite enjoy being the spotlight when I perform on stage, but only then. There's two different paths, two different ways to act.

[And who would suspect that an idol would do anything sneaky?]

Ah, a performer, are you - what sort, if I might ask?

[He actually seems at least somewhat interested in that, as opposed to just humoring Ren with the question; deets, man.]

[Yet another small surprise at that. Ren was prepared to be ignored because it's probably not so relevant to Rocket interests to be a performer.]

I'm mostly a singer, but I do other things sometimes as well.

[...he's a bit full of surprises like that, honestly...]

Indeed? When it comes to the musical side of things, singing is about all I can manage; nothing stage-worthy, of course, and when it comes to instruments and the like I admit to having roughly the same amount of natural talent as your average rock. However, I can certainly appreciate those who are talented enough to pull it off.

Well, even good singing skills are a blessing. The world is filled with those who cause noise pollution with their voices. [Especially the karaoke stands are filled with them. He doesn't want to go out to karaoke with his fangirls again.]

Well, I wouldn't have put it quite like that, but I'll definitely grant you the point.

Now...you said you wish to be known to the world through your actions earlier - what sort of impression would you like to make?

[Good thing he's thought about these things. Otherwise it might take too long to answer. Though he does look contemplative for a while, just because he's trying to phrase it right.]

I just want to be seen as someone who is able and does things with his own power as opposed to depending on others like my family does.

And do you have any plans on how, exactly, you intend to accomplish that goal? What methods are you planning on using?

[By spying on you, of course.]

That's something I haven't yet decided on, I'm afraid. I've mostly been observing the situation for the past three months.

[This can't possibly end badly for either of us!]
