I asked him why he was doing what he was doing. Whether he was angry with me or just doing some sort of job, or whether he had other reasons for acting as he did. He answered me and then returned the question.
I told him what I've told you, and what I've told the others. About war, and why I partake in it; about my role in the world. I'm not entirely sure what part of what I said made him change his mind, but the fact is that he let me go. I suppose he understood, in a way that most of our noble heroes don't.
