While I suppose it matters relatively little in the long run, morbid curiosity compels -

Exactly how driven are most of you to complete this 'challenge' that's been set forth, and what drives you to complete it in the first place - what do you have to return to?

[A short time after that text hits the network, Kimblee can be found just outside of Goldenrod City, on the northern end of Route 34; if the question is at all related to anything he's currently doing, it's not obvious in the least...outside of the part where maybe the Pokémon he's dealing with might be making him not want to live on this planet anymore.

Basically, his Yanma evolved.

Fortunately for him, the hellbug she has become seems to have retained her personality despite the evolution. She's honestly always been more like a dog than an oversized dragonfly; now she's just...well, a sufficiently larger dog. As such, she's bringing Kimblee a decently-sized stick to toss off into the nearby cluster of trees for her to chase; Kimblee is complying with her, albeit warily - he's never had much of a poker face, and while he seems generally calm, it's reasonably plain that he's half-expecting her to do something odd.

Like snap his arm off to get at the stick. Or maybe bring him back a person, or something.

[Excellent. Rollout is super effective, but it's fairly weak in the beginning. He needs to take this thing out as soon as possible. Lucena will probably be able to take another hit before she goes down...]

[Archer makes the same gesture and Lucena once again uses Night Slash.]

[Kimblee had seen that coming, though he can't say that he's too concerned; Aya is overleveled compared to Archer's Pokemon, and he's fairly sure he's managed to surpass him.

Aya isn't...pleased about it because maaaaaaaaan, boss, why you gotta treat it so bad, but at the same time it'll get off another hit with Rollout after taking that damn Night Slash.]

[Dammit, that didn't do much of anything. Why couldn't he get the critical hit on this one?]

[Lucena's not going to survive another hit, but he might as well stop Rollout before it gets powerful enough to take out his Crobat in one hit.]

[Archer folds his hands behind his back and nods toward Lucena. She quickly uses Protect.]

[Yes, yes, of course he is. Anyway, there goes Lucena. Archer frowns and returns her. Now he only has the bat, who is weak to the Electrode, and the Poryon-Z left.]

[...Say hello to Axis again, Kimblee! It's slower than the Electrode, but Archer gives it orders anyway.]

Trick Room.

[This isn't a move he uses very often, if only because Axis is faster than everything he's battled. This should at least provide him with some advantage.]
