006. [Text/Action for Goldenrod City/Northern Route 34]
[TEXT]
While I suppose it matters relatively little in the long run, morbid curiosity compels -
Exactly how driven are most of you to complete this 'challenge' that's been set forth, and what drives you to complete it in the first place - what do you have to return to?
[ACTION]
[A short time after that text hits the network, Kimblee can be found just outside of Goldenrod City, on the northern end of Route 34; if the question is at all related to anything he's currently doing, it's not obvious in the least...outside of the part where maybe the Pokémon he's dealing with might be making him not want to live on this planet anymore.
Basically, his Yanma evolved.
Fortunately for him, the hellbug she has become seems to have retained her personality despite the evolution. She's honestly always been more like a dog than an oversized dragonfly; now she's just...well, a sufficiently larger dog. As such, she's bringing Kimblee a decently-sized stick to toss off into the nearby cluster of trees for her to chase; Kimblee is complying with her, albeit warily - he's never had much of a poker face, and while he seems generally calm, it's reasonably plain that he's half-expecting her to do something odd.
Like snap his arm off to get at the stick. Or maybe bring him back a person, or something.
Either way, he's clearly wondering what the hell his life has become. Good afternoon, Johto, it's been a while.]

[action]
[And said Tyranitar has spotted Kimblee and his Yanmega. Chimera's best Pokefriend is also a Yanmega, he should go be friends! Have a giant dinosaur lumbering towards you, Kimblee. Envy'll catch up in a moment.]
[action]
However, he's not exactly paying attention to any trainers in the immediate vicinity, if for no better reason than that is a giant helldinosaur moving in this general direction.
Good god. What is today. He can't with today.
Abdiel, however, most definitely can with today, and once she notices her trainer staring blankly into the distance like something in his brain just kind of...popped or something, she'll just be seeing what is over there and oh god a newcomer let's get in its face 'sup Tyranitar how's it going]
[action]
[Meanwhile, Envy's finally caught up, and walking next to him is a hellhound that's wearing sunglasses. Isn't Johto just wonderful? Envy really can't help but snicker at Kimblee's expression.]
Something wrong?
[action]
his giant hellbug is making friends with a dinosaur
same old same old really
in other news the weather is nice today
a bit chilly maybe]
Simply the realization that I'm possibly never going to get used to this place properly.
[Despite the fact that his brain is still kind of breaking over there, the voice is familiar enough, and the appearance most definitely is - Kimblee will recover himself quickly enough, thank you.]
It's quite the pleasure to finally meet you in person - I take it that thing is yours?
[Have a flippant gesture toward that Tyranitar along with those words.]
[action]
[There's still amusement in his voice, but then again there rarely isn't unless he's angry. He nods in Chimera's direction without actually looking away from Kimblee.]
Yeah, that's Chimera, I started with him. [Yep. Basically named a dog 'Dog'.] Never seen one of those before?
[action forever until stated otherwise because lazy]
Somehow he's both rather amused and completely unsurprised - you would, wouldn't you.]
I've never seen one of those particular species before, no; I imagine it's been serving you well?
no subject
Very. He's turned out both powerful and loyal, I'd have trouble finding someone so useful back home. [Unfortunately, at least as far as Envy's concerned, he's fairly sure that Chimera wouldn't attack people under any circumstances. And there is the problem with him trying to befriend everyone he sees...]
I haven't seen many people with a dragonfly like yours around either.

Abdiel is...a bit of a work in progress, let's put it that way. [SHE'S A HUGE DERP. A HUGE, HUGE DERP. AND SHE IS STILL DERPING AT TYRANITAR BECAUSE OH MY GOD THE DINOSAUR PLAYS GAMES I LIKE GAMES GAMES ARE COOL WE ARE TOTES BFFS NOW
...okay, she's quite the work in progress. We don't speak of her.]
Either way, this place seems to be working out to your advantage...how well were things going for you back in your version of Amestris?
no subject
[The one he's familiar with is also a derp. Chimera, meanwhile, is all too happy to be enthusiastic back at Abdiel. Games are the best and we are best friends now, we should play all the time now that we know each other!]
Back home...well, for my group they were working out just about as well as they seem to have for the versions in your world. For me, they were going just fine. [He was going to Get Hohenheim, that makes everything okay.]
