[ACTION]

[Three days gone, with no explanation.

Kimblee had awakened strangely on Tuesday, feeling as though he hadn't slept much at all, and throughout the day he'd been unable to shake it - it's the same sort of feeling he gets when when he's been overstimulated, maybe, or spent time on a particularly difficult assignment. He would have chalked that up to a simple failure at restful sleep - he's not immune, and it happens - but then he'd checked the Gear for the time and date.

Three days gone. No memories from those three days whatsoever.

That. Doesn't. Happen.

He'd spent most of the day more wary than usual; he doesn't like this any, nor does he like the fact that there's nothing he can do about it. Even the normal solace he finds in sound isn't coming to him; he usually finds the music in Johto to be a nice constant, but now it's just grating on him - hell, he can't even be sure that anyone else is hearing it at all, and that's no use to him whatsoever.

Bluntly put, he's been feeling disoriented, Johto makes next to no damn sense as it is, and this entire thing is leaving him just a bit irritable and not wanting to stay in one place for very long. So! Today he's out wandering around Goldenrod; he doesn't seem too terribly bothered by the snow, though the heavy coat he has on over his suit and the long, pale scarf he has wrapped around his neck and shoved into his collar is definitely helping, as are the gloves he usually wears. He's determined to find something to clear his head; after a while, he finds himself in front of a building that's both stupidly loud and gaudily done-up. He kind of tilts his head at it for a moment; the place is pretty much an exercise in sensory overstimulation, isn't it.

It's perfect.

He pauses for a moment before entering; the music playing softly through the streets is the same as it always was. He doesn't want to ask if anyone else is hearing it; that's just asking for trouble. However, there are ways to get some sort of response without asking directly. He pulls out his Gear briefly, sending out a quick message via Text before entering that...casino. Game Corner. Thing.]

Has anyone been able to locate the source of the incessant stream of music, or is that another of those mysteries that we're encouraged to not think too much about?

[OOC: Action-wise, you're more than welcome to catch him outside the building itself...otherwise, he fully intends to spend the next good while wanting to kill a slot machine in the face, so he won't exactly be hard to meet up with if he's seen.]

[No, it won't; the hit isn't a pleasant one, but Carlisle will take it well. He didn't miss that hesitation, but he won't question it for now - no, Kimblee is more concerned with the fact that he's failing at killing Lucena, here. Dammit, Archer, your pimp-bird is also a blimp.

All right, he'll just be recalling Carlisle for now - let's send out that Vulpix of his, then - ]

[Yeah, you aren't the only one whose Pokémon do some really damn annoying things, Archer. Get that bird off the damn field and give him something he can beat up. And hopefully not the bat, if this gives him the bat again he's going to flip a fucking table.]

[It's one of those really annoying moves that serves no point other than to frustrate the enemy. This should be fun. The amount of lineface over here is astounding.]

[Oh, thanks, he can effectively not do anything but stand there for this turn. He. He really appreciates that. And from the look of it, so does Dorian. Seriously, you are getting the bitchiest expression because both ow and how dare you cockblock him by making him flinch.]

[That Crunch isn't pleasant when it connects, but Dorian is doing...well, what Dorian does best, and that's just kind of sitting on the damn field like the world's whiniest brick; he survives the hit, though he's not exactly pleased about it.]

[Goddammit, not in the middle of a battle! Also way to make him feel dumb - today we're tsuning hard.]

[Well, clearly luck isn't on Archer's side today. The dog somehow or other manages to smack himself in the face. Archer groans.]

...also good job, Dorian; the fox has decided that it has had quite enough of this battling crap and quite wants to be picked up, thanks.]

No...go Quick Attack it or something!

At least Dorian has enough common sense to not disobey his trainer; he will just be doing that, then!]

[Ow, well that was... kind of painful. Maróczy is getting close to his evolution though, which means he's toughened up some! He's still standing strong after that attack, anyway.]

Finish it! Reversal!

[It's one of the only Fighting-type moves he actually has, and Reversal certainly is an interesting move. Maróczy charges at Dorian, prepared to land that move.]

[...and there goes Dorian. Whining the whole way, most likely - but seriously, what on earth was that move just now.

Kimblee will just be recalling him and sending out Carlisle again, then.]

Ancientpower.

[No kill like overkill.]

[Alright, well at least he took out Dorian. That's not saying much, is it? Oh well, he'll return the dog and call out Lucena again. She's weak against Ice and Rock - that's what Ancientpower is, right? - but she can withstand hits like a boss, unlike the rest of his team.]

Faint Attack, again.

[There's... really nothing else he can do except hammer away at this thing at this point.]

[...Archer, he has had it with that bird. Not just this time, but every time he has battled it. He'll just be recalling Carlisle immediately and sending out Aya again.

That Electrode is just going to be made of >8D until Kimblee actually issues the order. It's. Not going to be liking that order very much.]

[...well, on top of complete sudden death for Aya and whatever he manages to do to Lucena, there is now snow everywhere and Kimblee laughing like a goddamn maniac because as far as he is concerned, Aya just awesomed all over this battle.]

[The moment that Electrode comes out, both Archer and Lucena look horrified. That thing has shocked Lucena into unconsciousness enough times for the bird to be wary around it, but Archer's concerned by the fact that that thing knows Explosion and Kimblee is using it in battle. Yeah. Things are about to get real ugly, real fast.]

[And of course, as predicted, the Electrode explodes, taking out Lucena with it. Archer immediately shields his face from the snow (with his left arm, of course, because his default is to shield rather than run away, he's clearly a smart one).]

Dammit, Kimblee!

[Oh come on! That's cheating! Except it really isn't but. Shut up.]

[Fine! You'll just have to deal with the most annoying Abra on the planet, then! Alekhine is called out and... is fast asleep. Dammit, this is making him look bad.]

I wasn't aware it had another evolution. What the hell is it going to be now?

I don't know, but given that it just turned into the walking carpet literally one level ago, I'm fairly sure it shouldn't be becoming anything at the moment.

What? Really? That's not possible...

[Well, actually it is, given that once his Abra gains a level it will evolve, and if he trades it, it will evolve again. Still, leveling up and evolving twice in a row? That doesn't seem right at all.]

What the hell did you do to it?

[Well, there's a Pokémon who can evolve into one of three species depending on if you use one of those super-expensive medicines or not... Maybe that's the case with this one?]

I didn't do anything in particular, I've just been training it as usual. I -

[...oh, hold on. Carlisle isn't a magical girl here, the transformation is pretty much complete by now (as opposed to taking a good...year and a half to complete while sparkles fly all around. Also maybe dancing).]

[And Kimblee will just be blatantly staring at his eight feet of mammoth before laughing in a rather demented fashion.]
