...I keep trying to put it into words and it keeps coming out sounding ridiculous every time I do.

I like that this is our..."thing"? Which isn't to say that someone else developing into a talented debater in their own right would devalue it any, which is where the pettiness comes from. I suppose it'd just feel a bit like having my thunder stolen, in a way.
