Your chances are better than most, I would say. Exactly how much that's actually saying is debatable, granted, but the sentiment remains.

Similar to how a piece of paper with words printed on it is still technically heavier than one without them, I'd imagine.

Is there anything in particular making it a good night, or just the usual? For the sake of full disclosure, I'm testing the waters with a follow-up question in mind.

Nothing in particular; the radio is quiet and I've been keeping reasonably busy, now that the holiday has passed.

The question is: do you know why I send you poetry, aside from just the fact that I think you'll like it?

I'm actually not sure, though I'm assuming that you're hoping I may recognize some of it - given that I know some of the things you refer to from your world and all, I mean.

Actually, it's usually the opposite. Films and stories, I like finding similarities in. When it's poetry, I like it when your reactions are new and fresh.

But no, I do it because it's whimsical and fun. And because we're...dating, apparently.

There's something else I want to ask, then.

A fair amount of the poetry I know is love poetry. Is it enough to know where we stand on the sentiment, to make up for the fact that I can't help the poem?
