I find it a bit easier to follow people's motives when you remember that they're just another person. Turning people into something they aren't just makes you more afraid of them.
Take you, for example. Before we met in person, I found you quite terrifying. You weren't a person, you were more of a....force, I suppose. But now I see that that was a bit silly of me; you're just another man, albeit a type that I've never experienced before. That was where the fear came from, I believe; fear of the unknown, of things unfamiliar.
You're definitely not from London; I can at least be sure of that.
