You could have gotten yourself killed or injured severely. It would be detrimental if you had been outed, yes, but ultimately I didn't want to see you injured. This isn't worth the risk. Once you've honed your powers and figured out everything you can do, you'll be able to deal even more damage. You can risk yourself then, when we stand to gain something from it.
