determinator: (♔ I never feel pain)

[Archer flinches; it's not a reaction to the attack as much as it is a reaction to the fact that it's Kimblee attacking him. He stares down at the ground where that shock just barely missed him, immediately pondering over just what he can do in response. He could attempt to subdue Kimblee by force - Alekhine is certainly strong enough - but that will call unwanted attention. A battle on the rooftops is a dreadful idea, even with all the confusion on the streets. Attempting to physically stop Kimblee on his own is an even worse idea. Archer isn't a skilled fighter by any stretch of the imagination, and Kimblee certainly has more combat experience. That leaves one option and one Archer's not too keen on. He has to attempt to use his own powers.]

[Mind-reading is out of Archer's league - he's not sure he'll ever be able to manage that, actually - but forcing a thought into someone's head sounds easy enough in theory. He returns his attention to Kimblee but doesn't say anything, instead focusing on one thought (let's go back to the base, best to keep it simple, he imagines) and trying to force said thought into Kimblee's head. It's the equivalent of slamming a TM over a Pokémon's head, or at least, that's what it feels like. That doesn't even begin to cover the headache that's already forming, but if this works - if this works - it will be more than worth it.]
