That...

[He tips his head a bit, considering; it's a fair enough point, actually. Shifting direct loyalties toward a particular faction is something he generally doesn't do unless he's given an extremely good reason, but associations are certainly fluid. Roy's wording is skirting the issue presented by the larger picture, that of loyalty vs association - if Roy doesn't realize that, it's his oversight and Kimblee isn't going to correct him; if it's deliberate, then Kimblee will just have to see where the point he's trying to make lies, and work from there.

Either way, as-stated, he isn't going to deny it; he'll allow it for now.]

I'll grant it, although you're begging the question of what I stand to gain from this. The individual you're claiming I'm working for is notorious for...what, exactly? Attempting to take over Johto with all the subtlety of smashing one's face in with a brick?

Were I to be attempting to work toward my own goals, this association would be more detrimental than beneficial - I'd think it would be obvious for now that I prefer to not work out in the open, and besides, hostile takeovers and ruling the region aren't anything that interest me. That rules out my interest in helping him take over the region for any reason whatsoever - I have no reason to want someone so inept to succeed, not even for the sake of orchestrating his downfall later.

So what, exactly, are you claiming I stand to gain? And I would prefer not to be insulted by you insisting that my methods make sense to me and almost no one else, as that's cheap. If you're coming to me with this, I sincerely hope you've thought it through and aren't going to say I'm doing this for a reason that amounts to "Because."
