I remember talking to quite a few people, yes. But I also recall being able to access my alchemy; the dreams all took place here in Johto as well, not back in Amestris. It was quite beautiful, really - the contrast between fiery explosions and the snow all around.

The Homunculi were present as well...one of them gave me another Philosopher's Stone, and given that Johto seems to have seen fit to separate me from them, it was a nice gesture.

So yes, for the most part it was rather pleasant, actually.
