In my world, there is a Supreme Being of a sort - some call him God, some call him other things, but either way it's generally accepted that as long as we aren't breaking the vital laws of the world, he really doesn't care what we do. His job is to make sure that we aren't defying physics or attempting to create things from nothing; he doesn't care what we do in terms of morality and ethics and right and wrong. We can continue being awful to one another until humanity as a civilization implodes, should we feel like it.
I don't find it dangerous, personally, but I admit I'm curious about the mindsets of those who would consider doing someone a favor to be morally on the same level as murdering them.
