[...unless the walls-

oh you sweet summer child]

Of course it's all right; it would be a bit rude of me to demand that others provide information while being unwilling to offer any of my own.

You've likely never heard of the country I come from - most people haven't, unless they're from that country themselves. It doesn't have a terribly large population, I don't think, but it's decently-sized; the majority of people live in the capitol, the rest is largely rural. A lot of fields, some mining and the like. There isn't much to look at in terms of terrain until you get further north - but then, I'm a bit biased, as that's where I'm from originally.

Most people have never been outside of the country, though that isn't because we're forced to stay - there are no walls, at least not physical ones. However, my country has had hostile relations with the neighboring countries for many, many years now; I don't remember a time when we were at peace, actually, it's not something I've seen in my lifetime. The government could also be considered incredibly corrupt; this hits certain people harder than others, and there have been various military-based atrocities that are committed from time to time. So it's mostly a great lot of people treating each other terribly, rather than any sort of outside enemy; the greatest threat to humanity's continued existence is humanity itself, really, which I imagine must sound strange to you given your circumstances.

The peace found in this place is strange to me; if anything, it's rather boring compared to what I'm used to. There are also things that I'm capable of back home that I can't do here; this world has seen fit to cut me off from some of my natural talents, which is a bit annoying. But overall, I can't complain.
