They're hideous creatures; it's more than a pleasure to assist in removing several of them from the equation, believe me.
As for "nobody dying", at the very least we're aware that people brought here from other worlds can't die by someone else's hand - however, everyone seems to be more or less human here, and there's evidence that we continue to age. I have to wonder what the point of that is if there's no death; I also have to wonder whether the local population is stable.
It still doesn't answer the question of how these things hatch from eggs already deceased, of course, but I'm not entirely certain that there's no way to die, either.
